About Joe

I wasn’t always a holistic therapist and teacher! Back in 2005, I was a stressed-out retail manager, and my emotional and physical health was shot: I was anxious, holding tension, in pain, and often running on empty fuelled by caffeine and adrenaline.

In desperation, I booked a massage. And that was the beginning of so much more. It was the beginning of my reconnection with myself, and my journey towards a more balanced, happier life: one in which I left my stressful job behind and turned to work I loved.

Over the years my interests in the therapeutic benefits of touch, sound, and movement continue to deepen and as I am fascinated by the body and mind I still study both to maintain my continued professional development and to learn new skills.

What I love most about my work is seeing how my clients’ lives slowly transform as they begin to feel lighter, and less burdened as they make time for active rest. There is a ripple effect for them into the rest of their lives and their community.

And yes I still maintain my well-being with regular massage, movement, and sound baths too!

Joanne is a scaravelli yoga practitioner.

Testimonials

What People Are Saying

“I have suffered from lower back pain for many years. I have tried chiropractic and it helped. Then I found Scaravelli and Somatic yoga. Both of these use a lot of floor work and this helped strengthen my back. Somatic yoga in particular made me more aware of what my body’s inner needs. By applying these posture theories and awareness while gardening and carrying out household chores I now suffer very little back pain. Now with a more mature body the Somatic yoga helps to gently keep me flexible and calm. Thank you Joe for this gift.“

Ann, Retired

“I thought I was just booking a massage, but my experience with Joe was so much more. Joe really takes the time to hear you and tailor the treatment. The techniques she used for me were extremely calming and not like any other massage I’ve had before. It truly is a holistic experience, and I also received a lot of great tips to improve my overall wellbeing. Thank you Joe, I will definitely be back and will also recommend you to my clients!“

“The Full Moon Sound Bath is a monthly gift to myself with time to switch off, and reboot my mental, emotional and physical system. The guided meditation sets the scene and helps my brain to let go into the guided relaxation and sound bath.. Afterwards, I feel energised and at peace, sleep that night feels deeper and easier, and I wake feeling rested. Any tensions that I might have had beforehand  have dispersed and floated away. I recommend these sessions as I want everyone to feel the benefits. It’s utterly relaxing and the best sort of reset!“
